Ishaan & Tara
Dawn on the salt flats
A 4am start for eleven minutes of usable light. The flats held a half-inch of water that morning, which doubled the sky and gave us a mirror the size of a district.
Before the day · Chennai
A few unhurried hours together, before the calendar takes over.
The approach
A pre-wedding shoot is the only time in the whole wedding season that belongs entirely to the two of you. We treat it that way — a half-day with no schedule to beat, no relatives to gather, and no reason to rush a frame.
We scout locations before you arrive, plan the shoot around the light rather than the clock, and send a styling note two weeks ahead so your outfits work with the palette instead of fighting it.

An old bookshop and a rooftop
They met in a second-hand bookshop, so we started there among the shelves and ended six floors up as the city switched its lights on.
Backwaters, one long boat
Five hours on a slow boat with nowhere to be. The best frames came from the hour everyone assumed we had stopped shooting.
Questions
The questions we are asked most often about this kind of work in Chennai. Anything else, just ask.
Six to ten weeks is ideal. That leaves time to use the images for save-the-dates, invitations and reception displays without rushing the edit.
Two outfits, one relaxed and one dressed, in colours that sit near each other rather than clash. We send a full styling note with fabric, texture and palette guidance once your locations are locked.
We reschedule once at no cost. Weather-affected dates are the one thing nobody controls, so it is never treated as a cancellation.
Next step
Send the date and the place. You will get availability and an itemised quote from the photographer who would shoot it.
